The Bible is full of instructions for us to live by. First comes the instruction for us then it is followed by a promise. For example in Ephesians 6:2-3 the Bible says to honor your mother and father that is your instruction. The whole Scripture is honor your mother and father that it may be well with you and that you shall live long on the earth. So do the instruction and get the promise.

Luke 6:38 says one word of instruction Give. The promise that follows is and it shall be given onto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will man give unto you.

Matt. 6:33 "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; (instruction) and everything you need will be added to you. (promise)

Matt. 7:7 "Ask (instruction) and it shall be given to you; (promise) seek (instruction) and you shall find; (promise) knock (instruction) and it shall be opened to you. (promise)

John 3:3 instruction says you must be born again followed by the promise that if you are born again you can enter into heaven.

So next time you read the Word and think it is just full of instructions or rules that you should do don't forget the promise that follows that instruction. Look them up for yourself. Read the instruction and believe for the promise.

Be Blessed.

Holy Spirit

The first "cordless" phone was made by God. It was the model called Prayer, it never lost a signal, the recharging is done by the Holy Spirit. Use anywhere..:)

Isn't that a saying. I just copied that from someone on my Grace Hope page. I told her I was going to pass it around.

On a children's tape David Ingles says it so well in song. Holy Ghost Your a comfort to me. You lead me You guide me in danger You hide me Holy Ghost Your a comfort to me.

Another song by the late Dotti Rambo is Holy Spirit though are welcomed in this place. Holy Spirit Thou are welcomed in this place. Omnipotent Father of mercy and grace Thou are welcomed in this place.

Is He your comfort today. Just invite His presence.

Cute sayings

Over the years I have come across some cute sayings and thought I would share them with all of you.

"A clever woman sees through her husband but a wise woman sees him through." The two become one flesh so why wouldn't you want to see your husband through.

"Always say good-bye when leaving someone because good-bye is a contraction for God be with you."
I know you have heard different things over the years on why you shouldn't say good bye to people but this is good now you are really saying God be with you.

Also when someone sneezes we are all quick to say God bless you. Since God blessing you means prosperity I have been learning to say to that person "you are empowered to prosper.

"Marriage is the death of two wills and the covenant of one." Agreement in marriage is so very important.

"Never make a permanent decision in a temporary situation." Temporal means subject to change. So if things aren't going good for you don't make any quick decisions. Wait because it is only temporal.

"Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow it empties today of its strength." We all know that it doesn't pay to worry. Wow if we could get paid to worry. Give your worries to the Lord.

"Let your pillow be you conscience." This one speaks for itself. When you lie down to sleep at night are you okay with everything you did that day? Did you speak words of love as you should? Did you show respect to those around you? Did you smile at the person that needed one? The list goes on and you know what I mean. We as Christians are suppose to always do the right thing. As long as we walk in love we can have a clear conscience.

You are loved, you are empowered to prosper, you are healed and you are redeemed. Have a great day!

What a day

What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see. When He takes me by the hand and leads me to the promise land what a day what a day that will be.

Yes we have a promise land in heaven if we have Jesus as our Saviour.

We also have a promise land here on earth we just have to make sure we take it. You have heard it before but I will never stop saying it. Jesus died and gave us that promise land in heaven and on earth. Our promise of salvation, health, prosperity and every good thing that goes with it.

"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him."1Cor 2:9 My friend, God has prepared an amazing future for you, don't focus on your challenges today, look towards His goodness & grace, & begin to expect blessings, increase, favor, promotions & good success ...in Jesus' name. Amen!

Don't let the devil steal it from you. Claim it today.

Purgatory

Hearing that word purgatory a couple of times in the last few days has made me think of my childhood growning up. In some faiths that word is used  more often than it should be. It can be a tormenting word as a child.

For one thing it refers to purgatory as being a holding tank for people after you die. The Bible says differently.

The Bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. You are born, you live, you die and if you are a born again believer you go home to be with the Lord.

If your not born again then hell will be your home. Some people say how can a loving God send anybody to hell. God for one doesn't send anyone to hell we send ourselves by not believing. Hell wasn't created for humans it was created for the devil and his demons. As sad is it is though some humans will end up there.

In the book of Romans the first chapter it talks about how God put in all us a knowing to believe in Him. It says that because of creation we all know there is a God. So if God gave us all the ability to believe in Him then we need to take it to the next step. John 3:3 says to be born again or saved.

So getting back to the purgatory thing. If God said that we are saved by grace in Eph. 2:8 then why would anybody think that after we get saved and we are cleansed why would we believe we have to go someplace else before we can get to God.

Purgatory means the condition or process of purification or temporary punishment in which, it is believed, the souls of those who die in a state of grace are made ready for Heaven. Notice the word believed.  It says that it is believed the souls of those who die in a state of grace are ready for Heaven. It doesn't say that it is true. I think someone just misunderstood the definition.

If  God created purgatory which He didn't since the Bible doesn't back that up. If He did though that would really mean we could all live anyway we want to on this earth then we die and go to so called purgatory where we can get cleansed and go on to heaven.

If that was true then it would mean everybody goes to heaven. The Bible says that wide is the gate that leads to destruction and narrow is the gate that leads to life. As Christians we have instructions that we follow according to the Bible. When we follow them the narrow gate will belong to us. The unsaved are the ones that will be punished. Course that still doesn't mean that purgatory is the place they will go they will die and go right to hell.

So if you believe in purgatory I pray you find the truth. My guess is that thought torments some of you also. Ask God to show you the truth.

Lent Season

Lent the forty days before Easter. Lent or fasting it is the same thing. It is showing your flesh that you are in control. Giving up something that is near and dear to you as Jesus did for us on the cross. If you don't fast something that hurts your flesh then why bother at all.

What do you mean fast something that is near and dear to us? That means don't fast your vegetable's that you only eat once and awhile anyway. If you don't want to fast food think of something that takes allot of your time and keeps you from things that are more important. Maybe you spend to much time in front of the TV. Fast some or all of it.

When I fast I go for the things that are hard for me to stay away from otherwise. Cookies, Chocolate you no the junk food. When I say Lord I give them to you today it is easy to accomplish the fast. When I think what Jesus did for me going without sweets for a week or two isn't hard. It actually feels good.

Can we really ever no what Jesus has done for us? I don't think we can. If we really had a revelation of what the cross was totally all about we would live in this world with much more victory. We would go after the things that we want, need and dream about.

I was with someone the other day and she said you can't ask God for money. She said that you just thank Him for what He has given you. Yes we need to always 24/7 thank Him over and over. It takes money to live in this world and lots of it so yes we can go before the throne and ask God for money. I did correct her and did a little preaching on that subject.

When I was in school I remember that I kept to myself allot. I felt like a nobody and didn't say much.
I think allot of us grew up with a low self esteem and we have kept it into our adult years. We walk around just getting by. We need to get past that. I think that is why maybe we don't ask God for anything either. We just keep quiet. We think as long as I am getting along on what I have why bother God.

I am so thankful that God called me before the foundation of the earth that I would bear the name Christian and that my name would be written in the Lambs book of life. Over the years I have come out of my shell. I now speak up because I have some wonderful things to say. If you think about it others are always telling us what they think so why shouldn't we say what we think.

So my prayer for you is that if you are one of those persons with low self esteem and think you can't ask God for what you need and want just give it up to Him for lent. After lent don't take it back. Just walk with God knowing how much He loves you and wants to take care of you. He sent Jesus to prove it.

Child like Faith

The Holy Spirit is challenging us to get back to the place in our lives when we dared to believe God’s Word no matter what anybody else thought or said.
Do you remember those days, especially when you first came to the Lord? Even though you may not have known a lot of Scripture back then you just believed at that moment God could and would do anything.

God says to come to Him as a child. Forget everything man has ever taught you and let me teach you.

So let me ask you do you remember when you first got saved? I do.

I remember that when I got saved I just took God at His Word and went about my life living for Him. I would pray and ask and receive. Nothing was too hard for God.

I call it baby faith or child like faith. When your child comes to you and wants something to eat you give it to them. Same way with God. When you first got saved you believe you could just asked Him and He would delivered.

Why is it so hard then now after we have all been Christians for a longer time. Sometimes we feel like what we are praying and asking for doesn’t come so quickly. I think it is because we walk away from part of the child like faith we had when we were first saved.

We grew up. We need to mature as Christians and grow in our faith but we need to always use our faith as a child. We need to just ask and God will answer.

I think we don’t know any better when we first get saved so we let God do it His way. Once we are saved for a while and we pray our flesh gets in the way and we try to help God. We pray and then we give God idea’s on how He can do it for us. It doesn’t work that way. We have to let God be God and continue with child like faith and believe He will always come through because He will. We need to grow in our faith but we have to always remember that child like faith that knows God can and will do anything.

God gave us the ability to pray and believe but He gave us the Scripture in Romans 4:17 to call those things that be not as though they were. Abraham did that and if he did that we can also. So whatever you want your day to be call those things that aren't the way you want them to be the way you want them.

According to Psalm 103:20 if we are speaking words of faith our angels go to work for us. Speaking words of doubt we tie there hands.

Your words have heaven behind them, God's authority, Jesus backs them up.

Positive minds produce positive lives. Negative minds produce negative lives. When you are positive you are full of faith and hope. When you are negative you are full of fear and doubt. If you are negative so will your thoughts, mouth and life be. (Your thoughts become your words and you are what you think.)

Speak this from your mouth: I will cause a revival of joy and peace and financial blessing that follows me wherever I go. My finances are going from the pit to the palace. I walk in love. I unleash people to work for me. I will speak God's word from my mouth. I don't care what others think of me.

What do you need in your life? Make your own confession to speak from your mouth. Put the angels to work on your behalf.

Feed your faith and starve your doubts the victory belongs to you.

Our Memories are Blessed
