Are you rooted

Ever notice on plants how you can trim them over and over again and they don't die? What would happen though if you pulled the roots? If your going to transplant nothing would happen. What if the roots were pulled out and just left there? Yes you know it the plant would die. Roots are the strongest part of the plant. It is what makes the plant live. The leaves just come and go.

Are you rooted? Rooted in Christ. If you are then you too are solid because we all know Jesus is the solid rock on which we stand all other ground is sinking sand.  (I love that song and I love to hear it sung by Joseph Prince).

Allot of things happen in this world that we need to just let fall off. You all know what I am talking about. As long as we live in this world their will always be humans. As long as their are humans we have to be very good at letting things fall off. God created each human with a different personality.

When having a Christmas gathering one year my family was in the living room. I was in the kitchen when my nephew walked in. He is in the service so he isn't home much. Anyway he had this look on his face that made me ask what was wrong. He answered "all those personalities in one room." I knew exactly what he was talking about. That is when you have to practice letting things fall. You all have families so you know I am right.

I am trying to be better at letting things fall. I can do all things through Christ who gives me the strength. He is my root system. I don't know how people live in this world without Him.

So again are you rooted? Jesus is coming and we all need to be ready for Him.

Blessings!!

Christmas in Bethlehem

Micah 5:2 “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times."

This is one powerful Scripture about the birth of our Saviour. It proves Big things come in little packages. Bethlehem use to be called the city of David. That is where David's great grandmother met his (David's) future great grandfather Boaz. (Boaz was one of the richest men in the Bible. Read the book of Ruth). Jesse and David born here also. It was here that David was Sheppard over flocks by night. Here Samuel anointed David king over all Israel. Why is the history so important today.

In Bethlehem we see the Glory of Christmas, the greatness of Jesus and the grace of God!

Bethlehem reminds us that God keeps His promises. Micah wrote this book 750 years before Jesus was born.

Did you know that the Roman empire had never taken a census before they had taken the one that sent Joseph from Nazareth back to Bethlehem? Researchers find no reason why Caesar wanted the census done. It is also interesting that there hasn't been one done since then. Goes to show God can and will work through anyone. The census caused a big up roar since it caused every person not just Joseph to return to there home town. It didn't matter how far you lived away either you had to report back if you had been born in Bethlehem. So what do you think? Was it coincidence or providence?

Caesar was actually used by God to make sure the birth took place in the right place. Here is where it proves that God keeps His promises He had Micah write it down in Chapter 5.

Bethlehem tells us God comes in person. In that Scripture Micah says whose orgins are from of old from ancient times. The Hebrew word for ancient times means the days of eternity.

Jesus is going to be born but not created. We were all born and created before we were born we did not exist. We were created to exist. Micah says that this baby isn't coming to earth prior to existence He is coming from eternity to earth because His existence is from eternity to eternity. The Creator is going to become a creature.

Just think about it the One who said let there be light is going to be the light of the world. The One who hung the stars in the space is going to become the bright and morning star. The one who created every man was going to become a man Himself. John 1:1 says in the begging was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Messiah isn't just going to be divine He will be human also. God came to us in person. He was born to a mother out of the womb just like we were. He had a father just like we do. He was flesh and bone as we are. He ate and drank just like we do. He did everything human as we do. Whatever we go through in this life Jesus went through it also.

As a man He was baptized in water. As God He was baptized in the Holy Spirit. As a man He was hungry but as God He fed 5,000 people with a few loaves and fishes. As a man He wept at the tomb of Lazarus but as God He raised Him from the dead. As a man He died a horrible death on a cross but as God He came back from the grave.

Even though it took the disciples three years in the end they knew they had walked with God. When we touch Jesus we touch God. When we talk to Jesus we talk to God.

That baby that couldn't feed himself or do anything else because He was a baby. He was God.

Bethlehem was such a special place and still is. There is a song because it was so special.

God saves His people. In that Scripture why does it say that Jesus would be born in Bethlehem Ephrathah? Back in the day cities sometimes had two names. Bethlehem means house of bread and Ephrathah means fruit fields. You got it Communion. God said I want Jesus born in a city where we not only just remember His birth but we will remember His body and His blood. God used an ungodly man to send Joseph and Mary to the place where He wanted Jesus to be born. God knew that His being born there would mean He is the Bread of life and the wine of salvation.

When Jesus said to His disciples I am the bread of life He was thinking about Bethlehem. When He said I am the true vine and my Father the vine dresser He was thinking about Bethlehem. Do you know they still have those wine fields in Bethlehem all these years later?

God doesn't miss a beat. He Had it all figured out how He would come to earth. According to Psalms 139 He has our life planned out the same way. Do you know Him today? Christmas isn't just in December it is all year with Jesus in your heart. He loves you.

So at Christmas time let's not just get lost in the hustle and bustle of Santa and gifts. Santa is portrayed to live at the North Pole but Jesus is everywhere. Santa rides in a sleigh but Jesus walks on water. Santa comes once a year (even though he sometimes is threaten all year long) but Jesus is 24/7. Santa is portrayed to brings gifts but Jesus is the gift. He is the reason for the season.

Santa isn't a part of our Christmas. Years ago I had someone tell me that my youngest daughter wouldn't have an imagination if I didn't let here believe in him. What a crock. When my daughter was little and I told her about a Jesus she couldn't see Him either so she had to imagine that He was there.

In Luke 2:11 it says for today in the city of David (Bethlehem) there has been born for you a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord. (Did you know that this is the only time in the whole Bible in one Scripture that it has Saviour, Christ & Lord all together?)

Do you know Him today? Reach out to Him because He is reaching out to you.

Door Number 1

I was listening to a preacher the other day. He was talking about the TV show the price is right. If you know the show then you know that Bob Barker calls your name saying come on down. When that person is called out they come down screaming and shouting with happiness. The thing is they don't even know what is behind the doors. They are just happy that their name has been called.

As Christians lets imagine we have Door number 1-2 & 3. Door number 1 is God. Door number 2 is the promises of God. Door number 3 the promises of God fulfilled. Now that is something to be happy about.

So what is wrong with us? If we are Christians we know what is behind the door. Why don't we scream and shout with happiness. Life. Life gets in the way. We have to really know and believe God has our back 24/7. We need to roll all our cares on Him and not try to take them back. Even if we can figure things out on our own God does a much better job. From the biggest care to the smallest care He has it all in control.

So rejoice the prize belongs to us. Our name has been called out. Salvation, Healing, Prosperity, Deliverance and what ever else we need belongs to us if we have accepted Jesus. Do you know Him today? If not you can.

Blessings!

Candy Bar

December and that means Christmas. I learned years ago that it is better to give then to receive. The only thing wrong with that is when you give God always gives back. I am not just talking about money here.
Our credit union does fundraising by selling candy bars. A very good candy bar at that. Anyway the other day when I was there I bought five of them. When I left that day the women in the armor truck was outside there and I gave her one. (I gave the other four away also)
Now my next trip back to the credit union as soon as I walked in one of the girls said I have to tell you something. She said the armor truck lady was just here and she said that last time she was here somebody gave her a candy bar. She said it made her week. Not her day but her week.
As Christians we have to be a good witness. Does that mean we have to act like Jesus freaks. No it doesn't. I bought a $1.00 candy bar gave it to someone and it made her week. I didn't stand there and preach to her.
So this Christmas lets remember the little things about giving. It doesn't always cost that much.
I wish you blessings this Christmas. Jesus isn't just Christmas He last all year long.

The Kid in You

I always think how funny it is when the boy in the man comes out. I laugh at my husband when he gets all excited about a remote control car or something like that. The kid in him comes out.

I have been experiencing the kid in myself. It's 5:19 AM and I have been up for a while already. I am excited about a breakfast date this morning so I am thinking that is why I can't sleep. Also vacation is Monday and I am so ready to spend some time with my husband.

Childlike faith. We all need to have it. After all think about the dreams that you had as a child. I know most of us are not living them. We have grown up (most of us) and we shrink back to what we were taught in school. School taught us everything would be okay if we got ourselves a good education. Wrong!

Even with a good education you can't be promised a good life. We all need God. That is the only place you will find a good life.

Do you know how excited God gets when we show Him how much we trust and need Him? He is excited to see you live your dreams. Fulfill you destiny. I hope your not one of those that think God wants you to live a simple dull life with no money and in the end nothing to show for it.

He has everything for us. We have a part also though. We have to believe in Him. Believe He sent Jesus so we can live those dreams.

Don't you live another day on this earth without asking Him to be a part of your life. You will never regret that decision and your life will never be the same.

Serving Him for 29 years now I am living proff of God's love. Jesus didn't deserve what happen to Him on the cross but He did that so now we can deserve God's best.

Reach out to Him today.. I promise He is excited to reach back for you...

Hate the Sin

The question of the day? Love the sinner but hate the sin. Not as easy as it sounds. We that love God know what the word says about sin. We know that the devil is our enemy but yet we are human enough that we hold the person at fault also.

My husband's dad decided from the start when he met me that he didn't like me. My husband telling me that his dad never liked anyone he dated didn't make me feel better about the situation either. His dad also had a very foul mouth.

God knows all so I was always completely honest with God. Since I would never want to see anyone go to hell since I know what hell is now my prayer was like this. God I can't stand my father in law but You love him so I pray for him. Simple prayer I prayed for him and I was honest with God about it. He is gone now but not sure which way he went. Only God does.

So not easy to love the sinner and hate the sin. As Christians we think that we should just spend time with unbelivers who have there own life style because we can be a witness to them. I have to disagree with that. I think sometimes we have to love people from afar while praying for them. We all have people close to us that need us to pray for them but at the same time we might have to not chum so closely with them.

God loves everybody. I am so glad He has plenty of grace for me because I sometimes fail in the area of loving others. I always try to remember that no matter what anyone does God loves them as much as He loves me. I never quite understood that either. How can God love that person as much as He loves me. That person doesn't live for Him while I do.

When I received Jesus years ago God made me the Righteousness of Himself. That is the difference. I believed and I recieve. The unbeliver that God loves doesn't recieve unless he gets saved. God doesn't love me anymore than He loves others I just feel the love more than they do.

I pray that you know Him. If you don't just invite him into your life and repent of your sins. You will feel His love like never before.

I will work harder on love the sinner and hate the sin. With God's help I can and will do anything. He has shown me time and time again how powerful it is to just trust Him.

I am blessed beyound measure!!!!

Rain

It is amazing to me how one day your grass is brown because of lack of rain and the next  day the rain comes and it is already greening up. We started the spring here with lack of rain. Then July came and so did the rain.

I like the rain that comes down slowly. Just a even slow down fall from heaven. I like to call them spot free rinse like you get at the car wash. It comes down slowly and waters and washes everything away.

That is what Jesus did for us at the cross. Took all of our dirty sins and washed them away. Not with water but with His precious blood. I don't think we truly understand that.

We must not take His name in vain by not walking in everything He died to give us. The more I just believe that God loves me and wants to take care of me the more He does just that.

We have to rest in His provision. We can't change a thing by worrying about it. Give it all to God.

In this day and hour is there anybody else you would like to trust your life with. I know I am in good hands. God holds me in the palm of His hands.

Be blessed!!!!

A Great Nation

Genesis 12:2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will Bless thee, and make they name great; and thou shalt be a Blessing.

Great Scripture. God says He will make our name great and bless us. Why? So we can be a blessing to others.

Isaiah 51 1:3 “Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness and who seek the Lord: Look to the rock from which you were cut and to the quarry from which you were hewn; look to Abraham, your father, and to Sarah, who gave you birth. When I called him he was only one man, and I blessed him and made him many. The Lord will surely comfort Zion and will look with compassion on all her ruins; he will make her deserts like Eden, her wastelands like the garden of the Lord. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of singing.

If you're a born again Christian you have received the gift of grace and righteousness. If you continue to seek both of them you can't go wrong. Abraham was rich in everything. Sarah had a baby in her very old old age. What do you need today? Are you wanting to have a baby and the doctors told you NO. Look beyond them and seek the one that gave you the gift of grace and righteousness. In Galatians 3 it says we are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise. In Romans 4 it says that to the end that the promise might be sure to all the seed. Claim that today that you are heirs according to the promise.

God blesses us with favour and compasses us as with a shield. He is know respecter of persons. Nobody is more important to him. We are all equal no matter what you have been taught.

Kenneth Copeland explains it like this. In Job 1:10, The Blessing is called a wall. In Psalm 91:4 it's called the wings of the Almighty. There is a wall of separation between The Blessing and the curse, between the law of the Spirit of Life and the law of sin and death. Jesus preached a message on this in Luke 6. As you read His words, keep in mind he's teaching the people to trust the power and strength of The Blessing shield.

Luke 6:27-38 “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. Do to others as you would have them do to you. “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that.  And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full.  But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.  Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, it will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

The Blessing is always the source. It says we shouldn't be offended and let the devil steal The Word out of our heart. While people are cursing and using us God is increasing us that is a promise. In Psalm 91:7 says that a thousand shall fall at our side, and ten thousands at our right hand; but it shall not come near us.

It isn't always easy to bless our enemies but God rewards us when we do. There is always going to be times in this earth when it slaps us over and over but stay strong and it shall not hurt us.

Deuteronomy 30:19 says I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, Blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both you and your seed may live. When we choose life we choose the blessing.

Remember though to keep your mouth lined up. Proverbs 18:21 says death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

The Word says,"Let the weak say I am strong" and, "Let the redeemed say so." So, let the redeemed say only, "I am strong!" the Word says that by His stripes I was healed, so let the redeemed say only, "I am healed! Don't say anything else. Jesus never changes and neither does the Word.

Let's live the way God intened us to live. Blessed beyond measure. Blessings to all of you!!!

Bless Yourself

Joyce Meyers was talking about some things as Christian's that we should do everyday. One of the things of course is being thankful. Sometimes we might forget about thanking Him for the little things and just center on the bigger things. Let's remember the little things since the little things make big things.

Psalm 100:4-5
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

1Thes 5:18 In every thing give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

The other thing she said was that we should stay busy blessing everything and everybody. Numbers 6:23 says “Tell Aaron and his sons, ‘This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them:  “‘“The Lord bless you and keep you;  the Lord make his face shine on you  and be gracious to you;  the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. ”’ “So they will put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them.”

Deut 28:1-14
If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.  All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God: You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.
The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.  The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you. The Lord will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in obedience to him. Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they will fear you.  The Lord will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you.

The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.    The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.  Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.

The Bible says life and death are in the power of the tongue. We need to watch what we say. I have been doing the blessing everyday like she said. She said she blesses everything. I bless myself, my children, my husband, my dog, my checkbook everything. She says all day long we should bless whatever or whoever is in our path.

We should be blessing ourselves the most. We have more authority over ourselves than anyone else does.

So today bless yourself. Just say this: I am blessed, my husband it blessed, my children are blessed, my checkbook is blessed, my steps are blessed, my body is blessed, my dog is blessed, my day is blessed and so on. Positive words coming from your mouth will bring positive things your way!!

We have more authority over us than anybody else. We can reverse words spoken against us. We can reverse what is going on in the government. We can make sure God is glorified.

God's Horse Power

I love Christian TV. Today Kerry Shook was talking about God's horse power. I like how some teachers use examples for us so we can really understand it. He had a motor bike on the stage and said would I walk next to this bike or would I ride it? He was showing us that if he walked the bike around the track he wouldn't be tapping into the horse power that the bike has.

Just like with God. We don't tap into God's horse power but instead try to do it on our own. God's horse power is there for us but we don't ask.

So today let's all ask God for His horse power. Let's use God's strength. His ability to see us through everything our day might bring us. He is concerned about our little things as well as the big things.

Have the best day!

What do we Deserve?

Adam & Eve were created to live in the Garden of Eden. A paradise created by God Almighty. I don’t think that in our minds we can really ever imagine what the garden must look like. They were told they could have whatever they wanted in the garden except they couldn’t take from one certain tree. Some people teach that the one tree they were told not to take from was their tithe.

The devil tempted them and it was all over. God’s love was rejected by a piece of fruit. The flesh is weak and they partook of the fruit they were told to leave alone. The devil deceived them and told them that if they ate the fruit they would be just like God. Funny thing is they were already just like God. They were created in His image. So they got kicked out of the garden and there life of sweat and toil began.

The question is what do we really deserve? A life of sin, sweat and toil just like Adam & Eve.
Let’s get personal about it. As you read this put your name in the blank.

What does _____ deserve in this life? _____ was born with the sin nature so _____ is going to sin. _____ is not perfect nor will _____ ever be. If Adam & Eve had that whole garden in paradise and couldn’t keep from eating from one tree by God’s instruction that means _____ also has a flesh that sin’s daily.  Because Adam & Eve were kicked out of the garden they lost God’s blessing so _____ will live poor and broke. _____ deserves to live in fear and bondage with sickness and disease. ______ deserves to labor so hard that I don’t feel like doing anything else. _____ deserves to have a husband and children that don’t know how to love _____ the way _____ needs to be love. _____ has no respect and honor from any of them. ______ deserves to go to hell after ______ short life on this earth is over.
What does Jesus deserve? He is God so He deserves everything that is good in heaven and earth. He is a king, royalty. He should never have a need or a want. He should never have a sickness or disease touch His body. He should never ever know what it is like to be poor. He deserves love, honor and respect. He should have not had to leave heaven.
So this is where we have to take what we deserve and what Jesus deserves and turn it around. Because of what Jesus did on the cross ______ deserves to be set free. _______ deserves to be free from sin. In this world our flesh is still weak but now when we sin we have forgiveness in Jesus. ______ deserves to be free from sickness and disease. The Bible says nothing shall by any means hurt us. ______ deserves to not be poor or ever live in poverty. The Bible says we will have every need met. _______ deserves to never have to be afraid. The Bible says that we don’t have a spirit of fear but of power and love. Notice it says a spirit of fear so we know that comes straight from hell. ______ deserves not to ever live in bondage. Bondage is sometimes in area’s that we don’t see it. We have to look closer because sometimes I think bondage is worse than sin, poverty & sickness. Bondage creeps in without us even knowing it. _______ deserves a home in heaven when _______ long life on this earth is over.

E.W. Kenyon says it like this the present ministry of Christ has been neglected by most Christians. So many, when they think of His giving His life for us think only of His death and Resurrection.
They do not know that when He sat down at the Father's right hand, that He began to live for us in as much reality as He died for us.
He is no longer the lowly man of Galilee. He is not the Son made sin for us, forsaken God.
He is the Lord of all. He has conquered Satan, sin and disease. He has conquered death.
He possess all authority in Heaven and in earth. (Matt. 28:18)
We can act fearlessly upon His word, because He stands back of it....He is the Surety of it.
He is the surety of this New Covenant. (Heb. 7:22)

So I don’t know about you but I need help everyday seeing that what I deserves and what Jesus deserves needs to be switched around. I need to see what Jesus deserves on me and what I deserve on Jesus.

As you read this today make the switch. See what you deserve on Jesus and see what Jesus deserved on you.

My friend if you don’t know Jesus as your Savior you have to first take care of that. Ask Him into your heart for He loves you more than anyone else in this world could.

Our Mind

Joseph Prince was telling a true story today about a woman 20 years old who was waiting for her boyfriend to come back to her. He said that he would. When he didn't come back to her she lost it. She got put into a insane asylum. Years and years later when she is 60 years of age they look at her wondering how she could look like she was 20. No gray hair no sign of aging. In her mind she was still 20 waiting for her guy to come back to her. They were amazed.

Another true story is the words of our mouth. Watch what you say. I know this person that always said my kids give me gray hair. You got it she went gray very early in her life.

Watch your thoughts good and bad. Be careful what you rent space to in your mind as I heard Creflo Dollar once say. Don't let a bad thought take control of you. It isn't worth it. Don't let bad confession's come from your mouth. Be careful what you allow into your heart.

One day at a time as the Bible says. The whole verse is take one day at a time because each day has enough trouble of it's own.

I am learning to take one day at a time better than I use to. God takes care of every day for me. We can't change yesterday and tomorrow isn't here yet. Sweet Jesus help us!!

Jesus, Your God And Best Friend

His mouth is most sweet, yes, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem!
Song of Solomon 5:16

Jesus is someone you can be completely real with. You can hang out with Him and be yourself, with no pretense and no play-acting. Jesus is ever-loving toward you and you can talk to Him about anything. He enjoys conversing with you about your dreams, aspirations and hopes. He wants to heal you of things in your past that you may be struggling with. He is interested in your present challenges. He wants to weep with you when you are down and rejoice with you in all your victories.

Jesus is love and tenderness personified. He is tenderness and strength wrapped up in one. He is meekness and majesty, manhood and deity, velvet and steel. He is 100 percent Man and at the same time 100 percent God. As Man, He understands and identifies with all that you have gone through, are going through and will ever go through in this life. But as a loving God, all His power, authority and resources are on your side.

Beloved, whatever you are facing today, let your heart rest easy in the power of His perfect love for you.

Blessings,
Joseph Prince

Have you taken your love break today by Joseph Prince

“As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.
John 15:9

In your workplace, you probably take coffee breaks, lunch breaks, tea breaks and definitely toilet breaks. Why not do the same in your spiritual life — take time out for breaks, especially love breaks?

What is a love break? It is the time you take to enjoy and feed on the love of Jesus for you. At any time during the day, wherever you are, find a quiet spot and feed on the love of Jesus. Just sit down and talk to Him. Say to Him, “Thank You, Jesus, for loving me. Nothing is going to happen to me that You don’t already know about. Jesus, when I could not save myself, You died for me. You gave up Your life for me. What else will You not do for me!”

Such love breaks are typified in the Old Testament by Aaron the high priest and his sons eating the breast of the animal sacrificed. (Leviticus 7:31) The breast of the animal speaks of the love of Jesus. Today, you are a priest to God. (Revelation 1:6) So spend time feeding on the love of Jesus for you, and see yourself nourished, strengthened and sustained by His love. Jesus is our High Priest today. This means that His food is in loving us. He enjoys loving us and is also “nourished” by His love for us.

But do not forget that the breast was roasted by fire (Leviticus 7:35), which speaks of God’s judgment on Jesus as He hung on the cross because He was carrying our sins. So as you feed on Jesus’ love for you, see Him loving you at the cross. When things around you are not going well, do not allow the devil to say to you, “If God loves you, how come these things are happening to you?” My friend, interpret God’s love for you based on the cross, not on your present circumstances.

During the day, when you are hard at work, when busyness sets in, when problems pile up or when discouragement comes, just stop everything and take a love break with Jesus! Let Jesus love you. Let yourself enjoy being loved by Him. Lean on His bosom, abide in His love and be nourished by His love for you!

Thought For The Day
Be nourished by God’s love for you today!

Healthier, stronger each day by Joseph Prince

So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,
Acts 2:46

Back then in the early church, Christians would meet each other every day, either corporately in the temple or from house to house in smaller groups. And when they met in their homes, the Bible tells us that they would break bread. That’s the Holy Communion, and they took it every day!

Now, I am not saying that you must take the Holy Communion every day. But if you feel led to and you want to, go ahead! The thing about taking the Holy Communion daily is this: If you are sick, you can be made well on a gradual basis. This means that you get healthier and stronger from day to day — first thirtyfold, then sixtyfold, then a hundredfold!

You see, while you can receive healing through the prayer of faith (Mark 11:24), it sometimes puts pressure on you because it requires you to believe that you receive it all — complete healing — the moment you pray. There is nothing wrong with the prayer of faith, but you may find yourself saying, “I must believe I receive it all, now! I must believe I have it all, now!”

But the Holy Communion allows you to receive a measure of healing every time you partake in faith, so that you get better and better. The more you take it, the better you become. There is no pressure to believe that you receive it all at once. Isn’t God good? He meets you at your level of faith!

Now, there are cases I know of in our church, in my family and in my own life, where the manifestation of healing is immediate and complete. If it happens that way, praise God! But if not, don’t worry. The more you partake, the better you will become.

I know of people who take the Holy Communion three times a day, just like they would medicine! Why not? My friend, if you are very sick and you are diligently taking your medication three times a day, why not give the Lord’s Supper the same amount of attention? Why not boost your recovery rate? And the next time you eat the bread and drink the cup, you may just find your disease totally gone!

Thought For The Day
If you are diligently taking your medication three times a day, why not give the Lord’s Supper the same amount of attention?

God wants you free from worries by Joseph Prince

“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
Matthew 6:25

Is your heart full of worries about your health, finances, family or future? Even when all is well, some people still worry because they have heard others say, “You should worry when everything is peaceful because something is wrong when the devil leaves you alone.” So they worry even when there is nothing to worry about!

But Jesus does not want you to worry about what you will eat or drink, or about your body and what you will put on your back. He tells you not to worry about your daily provisions because God, who is your heavenly Father, knows that you need all these things and He wants to add these things to you. (Matthew 6:32–33)

God is the same God who took care of the children of Israel in the wilderness, feeding them with manna every day for 40 years! (Exodus 16) Under His care, His people had no lack. When the people wanted meat for dinner, He simply rained quails on them. (Numbers 11:31–32) The children of Israel only had to pick them up. If they had gone to look for meat themselves, they probably would not have found any in the desert.

The problem with us today is that we think that we must do something to help ourselves. Some of us may even think that it is easy for Jesus to say, “Don’t worry. Take no thought for your life,” because He does not understand the problems we face in life.

But the truth is that Jesus understands the problems we face in life. In fact, He faced what I would call the “final problem” — death. Death is the “final problem” because it puts an end to all our other problems. Jesus faced death at the cross, conquered it and rose from the dead. And because He conquered the problem of problems, we can trust Him when He tells us not to worry!

Thought For The Day
Don’t worry. Jesus, who has conquered the problem of problems, will take care of you.

God gives you power to get wealth by Joseph Prince

“And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.
Deuteronomy 8:18

The idea that poverty is holy and wealth a curse never came from God. It came from the devil who wants you poor. He robs and steals from you (John 10:10), and even wants you to have a poverty mentality to keep you poor! God, however, wants you to prosper. And He does it by giving you the power to get wealth.

Having this power means that if you are a businessman, you will find yourself full of innovative ideas that will bring in huge profits for your company. Even as a salaried worker, you will find yourself promoted quickly because your organization values your contributions highly.

God wants to prosper you like how He prospered Abraham — in all things (Genesis 24:1) — so that He can fulfill the covenant He made with Abraham. God gave Abraham the power to get wealth, and he became rich in “flocks and herds, silver and gold, male and female servants, and camels and donkeys”. (Genesis 24:35) His son, Isaac, inherited his possessions and was also empowered by God to get wealth, so he became “very prosperous”. (Genesis 26:13) God also gave Abraham’s grandson, Jacob, the power to get wealth, and he grew “exceedingly prosperous”. (Genesis 30:43)

God’s promise that Abraham and his seed would possess the earth or be heirs of the world was not based on obedience to the law, but on the righteousness of faith. (Romans 4:13) And because you are in Christ and righteous by faith, you are Abraham’s seed and an heir of the world according to the promise. (Galatians 3:29) Are heirs of the world poor? Of course not!

My friend, God wants you to be prosperous, not just inwardly but outwardly too. (3 John 1:2) So today, even if you don’t have a cent in your pocket, remember the Lord your God. It is He who gives you the power to get wealth, so that He may establish His covenant with Abraham!

Thought For The Day
God wants to prosper you in all things.

Done as you have believed by Joseph Prince

Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour.
Matthew 8:13

What are you expecting God to do for you today? Do you believe that God will respond according to your expectation? When Jairus, distraught at the sickness that was claiming his daughter’s life, fell at Jesus’ feet, he entreated Jesus to personally come to his house to lay His hands on his daughter so that she would be healed. (Mark 5:23)

But do you know that Jesus can heal at a distance? He didn’t need to go to Jairus’ house to heal his daughter. Still, Jesus went and didn’t even chide Jairus for his little faith. He met Jairus’ expectation — his little daughter was raised from the dead that day. (Mark 5:41–42)

Why do I say that Jairus had little faith? Because there was a Roman centurion who came to Jesus about his servant suffering at home. He recognized the power Jesus had and asked only that Jesus “speak a word, and my servant will be healed”. (Matthew 8:8) Jesus told him, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” True to the centurion’s expectation, his servant was healed that same hour.

My friend, there is no particular level your faith must reach before God gives you what you are asking for. Your faith does not initiate God’s giving. He has already given to you all things that pertain to life and godliness. (2 Peter 1:3) His blessings are pressing on you already! Regardless of the level of faith you are at, He will respond. Jairus needed Jesus to go to his house to lay His hands on his daughter, and Jesus did. The centurion only needed Jesus to speak a word for his servant to be healed, and Jesus did. He met both their expectations.

My friend, don’t fix your eyes on how much or how little faith you have. Fix your eyes on the One who loves you, who has already given you what you need. When you come to Him, simply believe that He is waiting to meet your expectation. He will say to you, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.”

Thought For The Day
Regardless of the level of faith you are at, God will respond and meet your need.

See your enemies flee because of Jesus by Joseph Prince

“The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.

Deuteronomy 28:7

Some people think that Jesus and the devil are always confronting and fighting each other. But when I read my Bible, I don’t see fights between the two. What I see is the devil having to flee whenever he encounters Jesus!

Consider the demoniac from the country of the Gadarenes in Luke 8:26–39. The demons in the man begged Jesus not to torment them or send them into the abyss, but to permit them to enter a herd of swine nearby.

You see, neither the devil nor his demons can stand before Jesus. They may be able to torment people for a while, but when Jesus comes on the scene, they know that that is the end of their stay. They will have to flee! All it took was just one word from Jesus, and the entire legion of demons had to come out of the man and flee into the swine.

As a child of God, you exude a spiritual fragrance which evil spirits can detect and which causes them to tremble. It is the life of Jesus inside you. And He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4) That is why no curse, spell, accusation, scandal or destruction planned against you can succeed. Your enemies may come against you one way, but the Lord will confuse them and cause them to flee before you seven ways!

Jesus paid with His life to give you this victory over your enemies. After His arrest in the garden of Gethsemane, the Jews and Gentiles were united for the first time with one common objective: Torture Jesus and have Him killed. King Herod of the Jews and Pontius Pilate of the Romans were long-time enemies, but because of Jesus, they became friends. (Luke 23:12)

My friend, Jesus’ enemies were united and had “victory” over Him. But because He triumphed over them through the cross and rose again, today, your enemies will be scattered and you will have victory over them!

Thought For The Day
Your enemies may come against you one way, but the Lord will confuse them and cause them to flee before you seven ways!

See the work accomplished by Joseph Prince

So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
John 19:30

What do you see when it comes to healing for your sick body, restoration for your failing marriage or breakthroughs for your financial woes? Do you see a finished work or a work that is yet to be completed?

God wants you to know that what you desperately need Him to do for you has already been done! Jesus’ finished work at the cross so satisfied the Father’s heart that from heaven’s throne came the pronouncement, “It is done!” (Revelation 16:17) in response to Jesus’ cry, “It is finished!” on earth. So God wants you to have this revelation that whatever you need Him to do for you has already been done because Jesus has accomplished it all for you.

If you need healing, know that your healing has been accomplished. If you need restoration for your marriage, know that your restoration has been accomplished. You are not going to die from any lack — you have been abundantly supplied. All these things have been accomplished, not by you, but by Christ alone!

My friend, if you are bothered by a pain in your body, God wants you to see your healing finished or accomplished for you by His Son’s death on the cross. If it is a loss or debt you face, or a certain sin that you are struggling with, believe that your provision, restoration and deliverance have been accomplished for you.

Don’t worry about what you see or feel, or the presence of contradicting reports. These are lying symptoms and though they may seem very real, they are temporal and not the truth. God’s Word is the truth and it will remain because it is eternal. And when you believe that only what God’s Word says about your situation is the truth, all the lying symptoms will eventually have to line up with His Word.

God the Son says, “It is finished!”

God the Father says, “It is done!”

What do you say?

Thought For The Day
Whatever you need God to do for you has been done because Jesus has accomplished it all for you at the cross.

Be anxious for nothing by Joseph Prince

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6–7

When faced with a challenge or crisis, our tendency is to get all anxious about it. But God does not want us to react this way. He does not want us to be anxious about anything. Instead, whatever the problem is, He wants us to go to Him in prayer and supplication, telling Him what we need and thanking Him for the answer. When we do that, His peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds from all worries, anxieties and fears.

“Pastor Prince, it is easy for you to say, ‘Be anxious for nothing.’ Try living with my husband for one day. Try disciplining that wayward teenager of mine. Look at the balance in my bank account! How can I not be anxious?”

Hold it! I am not the one who said, “Be anxious for nothing.” The apostle Paul said it. Yet, it was not him — he was prompted by the Holy Spirit. And when Paul wrote that, he was a prisoner under house arrest in Rome. He had been sent to Rome because he had appealed to Caesar regarding his death sentence. The Jews in Jerusalem wanted him to be put to death. (Acts 28:16–20)

Yet, under those trying conditions, he wrote these words: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.”

My friend, if you are anxious or worried about something, remember those words. Let’s say that you are anxious about a huge debt. Go to the Lord and pray, “Lord Jesus, I no longer want to be anxious about this problem. I hand it over to You and ask for supernatural cancellation of this debt. It is in Your care now. You are in charge. I thank You for taking care of it.”

God is true to His Word. As you pray this prayer and cast your care to Him, you will find His peace setting your heart and mind at rest. So be anxious for nothing — let the One with whom nothing is impossible take care of it for you!

Thought For The Day
Cast your cares to God in prayer, and find His peace setting your heart and mind at rest.

God used the weak to confound the mighty by Joseph Prince

But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;
1 Corinthians 1:27

When you are faced with a big challenge, do you automatically look for the most powerful means to solve the problem? Well, my friend, that is not thinking the way God thinks. The Bible tells us that it pleases God to use what the world considers weak, foolish, base and despised to bring to nothing things which are mighty.

“What is that in your hand?” God asked.

“A rod,” Moses said. And with that rod, he performed miracles and confounded the might of Pharaoh.

“Five loaves and two fish,” a little boy said. And with that little boy’s lunch, Jesus fed 5,000 men, and his disciples gathered 12 baskets full of leftovers.

“The jawbone of an ass,” Samson said. And with that, he slew a thousand Philistines, who were the enemies of God’s people.

“Five stones and a sling,” said David the shepherd boy. And with one of his stones and the sling, he brought down Goliath, the mighty Philistine champion.

At a recent conference for Hokkien-speaking pastors, Pastor Mark, our Hokkien and Mandarin services pastor, realized how his spoken Hokkien pales in comparison to the refined and flawless Hokkien spoken by the other pastors there. Yet, it pleases God to use Pastor Mark’s colloquial Hokkien to lead many dialect-speaking folks, especially the elderly, to Christ.

Many of these elderly folks are testifying that for the first time in their lives, they are set free completely from fears of debilitating diseases, loneliness, deep-rooted superstitions, generational curses, the ravages of old age and even death.

My friend, don’t despise what seems weak and insignificant to the world. God can use them to bring down the giants in your life!

Thought For The Day
It pleases God to use weak, foolish, base and despised things of the world to bring to nothing things which are mighty.

Jesus is still Jehovah Rapha by Joseph Prince

…I am the Lord who heals you.”

Exodus 15:26

Do you know that the first compound name that the Lord revealed to the Israelites after they came out of Egypt was Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals you? It was as if He was telling them, as they began their new life with Him, that He had already healed them of all the diseases and pains they suffered when they were in bondage in Egypt. Indeed, when He brought them out of Egypt, “there was none feeble among His tribes”. (Psalm 105:37)

Today, just as the Israelites were delivered from their bondage in Egypt and from slavery to Pharaoh, you have also been delivered from the bondage of sin and sickness, and from slavery to the devil, by the blood of the Lamb. And the Lord, who is the same yesterday, today and forever, still says to you, “I am the Lord who heals you.”

A church member, who was experiencing pain in her womb for several months, looked to Jesus as her healer even as she went to see a doctor, who performed an ultrasound scan on her womb. When told that she had two big tumors and several blood cysts in her womb, she continued to look to Jesus as her healer. The doctor then had her blood tested to see if the tumors were cancerous.

Three days later, she saw the doctor again and was told that the tumors were not cancerous. Not only that, but a second ultrasound scan also showed that all the cysts and one of the tumors had completely disappeared! The other tumor had also shrunk. Although she had taken medication, the doctor told her that based on the original size of the tumor, it should have taken months to shrink that much. He commented that this was the quickest healing he had ever seen!

Beloved, if the doctor has given you a bad report regarding your health, don’t despair. Look to Jesus and expect healing for your body. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is still Jehovah Rapha — the Lord who heals you!

Thought For The Day
Look to Jesus and expect healing for your body. He is still the Lord who heals you!

God is not punishing you for some sin by Joseph Prince

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

Ephesians 1:7
Some Christians believe that although you have forgiveness of sins, you are not free from the penalties of your sins. In other words, you can still expect punishment from God. For example, some married Christian couples have been told that they are childless because God is punishing them for having had pre-marital sex. So although God has forgiven them of that sin, He still has to punish them for it.

I am certainly not for pre-marital sex, but I want you to know that God, who is the only one who can fully appreciate the full value of His Son’s blood and who is completely satisfied by His Son’s sacrifice, is at rest in His heart today concerning your sins! That is why He is not against you even when you fail. Neither is He out to punish you when you sin. No, He still loves you, is for you and wants to help you overcome that sin.

In the Old Testament, the blood of bulls and goats could only “cover” sins and not take them away. (Hebrews 10:4) But the blood of Jesus is not like the blood of animals! For by one sacrifice, the eternal blood of the Son of God has forever removed your sins (Psalm 103:12) and cleansed you of all unrighteousness! (1 John 1:9) In fact, God is so satisfied with His Son’s perfect work that He says to you today, “Your sins and lawless deeds I will by no means remember!” (Hebrews 10:17) And if God does not remember them, why would He punish you for them?

Beloved, you have “redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace”. Because Jesus’ work is complete, all your sins have been completely forgiven. And complete forgiveness means that the penalties for your sins can no longer fall on you because they had already fallen on Jesus at the cross. (Isaiah 53:5)

So don’t think for one moment that God is punishing you for some sin just because something bad happened to you. Look to the cross and know that all your sins have already been punished fully in the body of Christ. Believe that God is for you and expect victory!

Thought For The Day
Because Jesus’ work is complete, all your sins have been completely forgiven.

God so Loved You

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:16-17

Jesus is the apple of God’s eye. He is God’s darling Son, His infinite joy and delight. Yet, God gave Jesus up for you. That’s how much God loves you. Just think about it: If you knew you could save a dying person by giving up something precious to you, would you go as far as to give up your only child whom you dearly love for that person? Yet, that is exactly what God did to save you. Jesus, His beloved Son, died on the cross to cleanse you, heal you and redeem you—spirit, soul and body! That is how precious you are to God! Today, meditate on this truth and let God’s amazing love wash over you. It will drive out every fear, put strength and boldness in your heart, and cause you to walk in His provision, protection and peace.

Blessings,
Joseph Prince

He is your Everything

…you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.
Colossians 2:10

When God gave us Jesus, He gave us not just His best, but also everything. We are truly rich because we have Christ, our all in all.
When we have Jesus, we truly have everything. Jesus is our wisdom, our righteousness, our sanctification, our redemption and our success. In Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
My friend, when you need wisdom, Christ is your wisdom. When you need righteousness, Christ is your righteousness. When you need sanctification and redemption, Christ is both to you. When you need faith, He is your faith.
When you are fearful of the odds against you, He is your favor. When you are weak, He is your strength. When you are troubled and anxious, He is your peace. When you feel vulnerable, He is your shield. When you are lonely, He is your faithful companion. And when you are sick, He is your healing and health. Jesus, the great I AM says to you, “I AM to you whatever you need Me to be!”
Beloved, you are truly rich because you have Christ. And in Christ you are complete. Don’t wait to have this or that before you feel complete. You are already complete in Christ—your all in all!

Blessings,
Joseph Prince

Called According to His Purpose

Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.

So what does that really mean? Are you a Christian? Have you accepted Jesus in your heart? If Jesus is your Saviour then you are called according to God's purpose. God's purpose is that we are witness's in this world. That we tell others about what Jesus did for us. Show God's love to everybody.

I know from experience's that when something happens that we aren't expecting the last thing that we are thinking about is somehow this works to my good. I am trying to get better at that though.

This morning a friend of mine is having car trouble. I am sure she didn't plan that. Now she has to fix the car. How does that work to her good as the Scripture says. She wasn't on the road when it happened. Let me add that it is very cold here today also. Not a good day to be stranded on the road.

I know what you are all thinking. Now she has to pay to have the car fixed. Let's not be stupid. In this world material things break.

The Bible also says that we have favor in this world with everybody even unbelievers so when she goes to get the car fixed if she beleives that she has favor who knows what good things God will have waiting for her.

Maybe she needs to share the love of God with somebody that she will see as she get's her car fixed. Maybe someone needs a hug from her.  No matter what happens it works to her good and she has favor.

I am at a point in my life where I don't want to fret about a thing. I want to just rest in the fact that God loves me and want's to take care of me. I am going to let Him. Nobody loves me or can take care of me like He can. God gave me a wonderful husband that takes care of me but I will tell you nobody know's you like God.

So when you husband says to you where is the money coming from for this or that tell him its not our concern talk to God. God has it all in control. Let Him take control don't try to help Him. He knows what He is doing all on His own.

God loves me so very much and He loves you. When we really get that on the inside of us we will never be the same. That is my goal. To know His love and know He always has it all in control.

Snow

It is the middle of January here in Wisconsin. Between yesterday and today we just had our first snowfall. It is so pretty. The fresh snow covering the dirty ground makes me think of how much Jesus loved me. He covered my dirty sins with His precious blood.

Through the shed blood of Jesus I became the righteousness of God when I believed. I will never let anybody talk me out of that and believe me when I say some have tried. You will always be a sinner they say. I am so glad the Bible tells a different story. I was a sinner serving satan. I got saved by grace by asking Jesus to be my personal Saviour. After doing that the Bible clearly states that God made me the righteousness of Himself. The Bible says when I receive the gift of grace and righteousness I now reign with Christ.

Singer David Ingles says it so well in a song. I am the Righteousness of God in Christ a brand new creation in Him. I can now approach the presence of God with no condemnation of sin.

My friend what Jesus did for me He did for you. Invite Him today so you can reign with Him.

Forgot my Purse

The other day when Butch and I and Willa left home, I got a little bit away from home and I realized I forgot my purse. Not a big deal came...
