Just Praising my God

Don Leidel went on to glory. For the last three plus years Butch and I and mom have been getting together with him once a week. Don loved and appreciated people. He also loved food. We went out to eat all the time. Life for him changed so quickly. We were out to eat and then less than a week later he was told he had cancer and he would die. I call it the death sentence. God does say the power of life and death are in the tongue.

I was praying for a miracle but not to sure Don understood that even though he loved Jesus. He was 91 years old so people just figure its his time. He loved life and would of lived longer had he had the chance. God promises us long life.

God doesn't give people cancer anymore than He gives us any sickness. It's the enemy that comes to kill, steal and destroy. Don had a good life on this earth. A longer life too.

I did see the miracle in all this. Even though Don is missed he went quickly. In less than six weeks of his death sentence he was home in glory. He didn't have to suffer.

He always told us that he likes to be independent. But I think the month that he spent in  assisted living being waited on was quite enjoyable to him. He was happy to also have lots of visitors.

Even though Don was a cousin to my husband we never knew him til a few years ago. I know that we made his old age happier. No doubt in my mind we were some of his favorites Butch, mom and I.

As I said he is missed. We will see him again some day in heaven. Until then we have memories we can hold on to.

Don't leave this earth without Jesus. He is the only way to heaven. In fact I wouldn't want to be on this earth without Him.

See you in heaven Don.

Forgot my Purse

The other day when Butch and I and Willa left home, I got a little bit away from home and I realized I forgot my purse. Not a big deal came...
