I love reading the Bible and related reads on the iPad. It’s bigger and lights up more. However today I picked up my Bible that’s 40 plus years old and read from there. I have little notes and such all over it inside and out. Such a joy to read over them all. I am going to share them with you. I will call it nugget corner just like my blog.
Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow it empties today of its strengths.
Worry does not come from God. That means it comes from the devil. However I do believe we blame evil sometimes for things we stress about that are self inflicted. Self inflicted could come in many ways. I found myself stressing about things that didn’t even concern me. We have to remember we can’t change anything only God can and we have to let it go. Worry is not from God.
Many many years ago we went to a church that talked more about the devil then they talked about God. If you’re in a church like that stand up, turn around and run.
Years ago I went and checked out another church on a Wednesday night Bible study with a friend that attended there. It started and the Pastor said we will have singing at the end tonight and he got right into his teaching. Wait there was no teaching. He started preaching and screaming fire and brimstone. My insides were all bundled up cause it was awful. In less then five minutes I got up and walked out. I even heard the Pastor say let her go. I was so glad I had decided to check this church out myself and left Butch home. Yes it was okay to walk out. I felt inside of me just how wrong it was. We have been in and out of different churches over the years and now we just watch it on TV. The churches that we’re interested in are far away.
So today when anything has you worried or stressing give it to God! Blessings!
