Child like Faith

The Holy Spirit is challenging us to get back to the place in our lives when we dared to believe God’s Word no matter what anybody else thought or said.
Do you remember those days, especially when you first came to the Lord? Even though you may not have known a lot of Scripture back then you just believed at that moment God could and would do anything.

God says to come to Him as a child. Forget everything man has ever taught you and let me teach you.

So let me ask you do you remember when you first got saved? I do.

I remember that when I got saved I just took God at His Word and went about my life living for Him. I would pray and ask and receive. Nothing was too hard for God.

I call it baby faith or child like faith. When your child comes to you and wants something to eat you give it to them. Same way with God. When you first got saved you believe you could just asked Him and He would delivered.

Why is it so hard then now after we have all been Christians for a longer time. Sometimes we feel like what we are praying and asking for doesn’t come so quickly. I think it is because we walk away from part of the child like faith we had when we were first saved.

We grew up. We need to mature as Christians and grow in our faith but we need to always use our faith as a child. We need to just ask and God will answer.

I think we don’t know any better when we first get saved so we let God do it His way. Once we are saved for a while and we pray our flesh gets in the way and we try to help God. We pray and then we give God idea’s on how He can do it for us. It doesn’t work that way. We have to let God be God and continue with child like faith and believe He will always come through because He will. We need to grow in our faith but we have to always remember that child like faith that knows God can and will do anything.

God gave us the ability to pray and believe but He gave us the Scripture in Romans 4:17 to call those things that be not as though they were. Abraham did that and if he did that we can also. So whatever you want your day to be call those things that aren't the way you want them to be the way you want them.

According to Psalm 103:20 if we are speaking words of faith our angels go to work for us. Speaking words of doubt we tie there hands.

Your words have heaven behind them, God's authority, Jesus backs them up.

Positive minds produce positive lives. Negative minds produce negative lives. When you are positive you are full of faith and hope. When you are negative you are full of fear and doubt. If you are negative so will your thoughts, mouth and life be. (Your thoughts become your words and you are what you think.)

Speak this from your mouth: I will cause a revival of joy and peace and financial blessing that follows me wherever I go. My finances are going from the pit to the palace. I walk in love. I unleash people to work for me. I will speak God's word from my mouth. I don't care what others think of me.

What do you need in your life? Make your own confession to speak from your mouth. Put the angels to work on your behalf.

Feed your faith and starve your doubts the victory belongs to you.

Spring

Spring is in the air. Both Son's/Sun's are shining brightly. The snow is melting. Everything is filthy.

I used to be filthy until Jesus's blood cleansed me. Are you washed in the blood of Jesus? Do you know what it means to be washed in the blood?

It means when you asked Jesus to live in your heart and forgive all your sins He will do just that. He will cleanse you and because of that blood you then are the righteousness of Almighty God. Not because of anything that you did but because of what Jesus did.

God sent His only Son Jesus to this world. Jesus was born. Jesus walked this earth. Jesus died a awful death on the cross. He was buried. God rose Him on the third day. Before He was rose from the dead though He covered one more thing for you and I. He went into the pit of hell and took away the keys of the kingdom from the devil.

Some of you don't understand why the devil had the keys in the first place. The devil got control of this earth when Adam and Eve ate the apple. So ever since the beginning God was on a mission to win it all back.

Now the devil still roams this earth like a roaring lion according to what the Bible says but because of Calvary our weapon is the blood of Jesus. Jesus gave us authority over him.

Think about what that really means. If you have repented of your sins and asked Jesus to live in your heart it means God Almighty has your back. You know that saying I got you covered.

I have see many things since I said that prayer and let me tell you I am ever so grateful He had my back. He will always have my back because to live one day on this earth without Him will never be my choice. God loves you and me like nobody else ever will.

Make Him your Saviour today and begin your life of having God's covering over you.

The Green Bay Packers

What can I say about the Packers. I have learned alot about football by watching it with my husband for years. I knew in my spirit that it was going to be the Packers turn to shine so when they won last night I wasn't to surprised.

Some say that the Packers are God's favorite because of the big G. God doesn't have any favorites. God loves us all know matter what. In the interviews with the Packers sometime before the game you heard their heart about how they feel about God. That is important to God that we aren't ashamed of Him.

After the game they were talking to the different Packers and one of them said that they had faced adversity all year. The difference is they kept on keeping on. When one of there star players was out of the game early they could of said it's over now. They didn't do that though they just stuck together and got the job done.

It's the same way in the church. We as the body of Christ are suppose to stick together and get the job done. We all have adversity in this life but how we handle it is what is important.

God says in His Word that No weapon formed against us prospers. Even after the Bears lost to the Packers the word on the street from Bear fans was the Packers are going to lose. I believe that worked on the Packers behalf. Those Christian Packers knew that no weapon formed against them would prosper.

Yes I am sure there were Christian's on the other team. It all depends on what you are believing for. I have heard the Packers glorify God on camera often. After they won the game one of the players said To God be the Glory. That my friend is music to God's ears. Thankfulness gets God listening to us.

As far as the injuries that happened on both teams last night God will take care of them. By Jesus stripes we are healed.

So what are you going through today? Take an example from the Packers. Keep on pressing on. If you  truly believe in your heart that God says you win you will. You have God's Word on that.

America the Beautiful

Words by Katharine Lee Bates,
Melody by Samuel Ward

O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

O beautiful for pilgrim feet
Whose stern impassioned stress
A thoroughfare of freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God mend thine every flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!

O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife.
Who more than self their country loved
And mercy more than life!
America! America!
May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness
And every gain divine!

O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

O beautiful for halcyon skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the enameled plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till souls wax fair as earth and air
And music-hearted sea!

O beautiful for pilgrims feet,
Whose stem impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till paths be wrought through
wilds of thought
By pilgrim foot and knee!

O beautiful for glory-tale
Of liberating strife
When once and twice,
for man's avail
Men lavished precious life!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till selfish gain no longer stain
The banner of the free!

O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till nobler men keep once again
Thy whiter jubilee!

Are we living this song. Sing it you will be blessed.

Thanksgiving in your heart

I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart. I will enter His courts with praise. I will say this is the day that the Lord has made I will rejoice for He has made me glad.

When you are a child of the King of King's it's quite easy to rejoice and be glad. Did you know that you are the king that Jesus is King of. Praise God!

When God sent Jesus to earth to die for us He thought of everything. I can never say it enough that God didn't leave anything out. He sent Jesus to die for our salvation, healing, prosperity, fear, lack and anything in this world that is evil Jesus died for.

The bible says in John 10:10 that the thief (devil) comes to kill to steal and to destroy but Jesus came that we might have life, and might have it abundantly. See the word might there. The choice is ours.

As Christians the bible says that the devil is under our feet. Sometimes though it is just the opposite. We let the devil rule. We should wake up every morning knowing our authority and walking in it. When we get up in the morning we need to rejoice so much that the devil says oh know she or he is up again. He needs to be afraid of us.

So what if your not a christian. Decide to be on. Repent for your sins and ask Jesus to live and rule your heart. You will never be the same.

My prayer for Christians everywhere is that we walk in the fullness of all God gave us.

Just Pray

A man was sleeping one night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with light, and God appeared. The Lord told the man he had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might.
So, this the man did, day after day. For many years he toiled from sunup to sundown, his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock, pushing with all his might!

Each night the man returned to his cabin sore and worn out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain. Since the man was showing discouragement, the Adversary (Satan) decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into the weary mind: (He will do it every time)!
You have been pushing against that rock for a long time and it hasn't moved." Thus, he gave the man the impression that the task was impossible and that he was a failure. These thoughts discouraged and disheartened the man.
Satan said, "Why kill yourself over this? Just put in your time, giving just the minimum effort; and that will be good enough."
That's what the weary man planned to do, but decided to make it a matter of prayer and to take his troubled thoughts to the Lord.
"Lord," he said, "I have labored long and hard in Your Service, putting all my strength to do that which you have asked. Yet, after all this time, I have not even budged that rock by half a millimeter. What is wrong? Why am I failing?"
The Lord responded compassionately, "My friend, when I asked you to serve Me and you accepted, I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all of your strength, which you have done.
Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push. And now you come to Me with your strength spent, thinking that you have failed.
But, is that really so? Look at yourself. Your arms are strong and muscled, your back shiny and brown; your hands are callused from constant pressure, your legs have become massive and hard.
Through opposition you have grown much, and your abilities now surpass that which you used to have. True, you haven't moved the rock. But your calling was to be obedient and to push and to exercise your faith and trust in My wisdom. That you have done. Now I, my friend, will move the rock."
At times, when we hear a word from God, we tend to use our own intellect to decipher what He wants, when actually what God wants is just simple obedience and faith in Him.
By all means, exercise the faith that moves mountains, but know that it is still God Who moves the mountains.

Clearence Sales

Christmas celebrations done for another year.  New Year resolutions made. Stores trying to get rid of  old inventory so lots of sales going on.

Last night my sister and I went to Shopko while our guys were watching football. I enjoy looking around even when I don't really need anything.

I found a foosball table top game as well as a air hocky game. Orginal price was $35.00. They were on sale for $7.50 each. What the heck I bought both of them.

We got back to the house and I told the guys what I had bought. My husband insisted that I was just telling him a story. After a while I went out to the truck and brought them in.

Now the fun part. We opened the foosball box and you guessed it, it was unassembled. My sister just grabbed the instructions and started to assemble it. She got so far with it and her husband stepped into help. I had to tell my husband to get over there and help them.

It was so funny I took  pictures of the three of them working on putting this foosball table together. I never laughed so hard.

When it was all together we played a few games. It was quite fun. Not a bad investment on my part.

God gave us all gifts. Putting things together with instructions isn't one of my gifts. My husband is good at reading instructions and then putting things together but it isn't one of his favorite things to do.

Watching my sister and her husband working together as a team told me that it was a gift they both have. The patience they showed was amazing.

Like I said I never laughed so hard and my sister was laughing also. The bible says that laughter works good like medicine.

When was the last time you laughed so hard you cried. That's what I thought. You can't remember can you? Want some good medicine? Go and find the funniest movie you have or rent one and just let go. Laughter is so good for you.

Also don't be so hard on yourself when you are trying to do something and your not enjoying it. Just know that it isn't one of the gifts God gave you. Whatever you are good at and enjoy doing that is your gift.

Remember that Christmas is only over for you if you don't have Jesus in your heart. When Jesus is in your heart you will have Christmas everyday.
