Christmas time 2019

It's Christmas time again. Of course the gift of Jesus goes all year long. We just started December.

After years of having open house for Christmas and inviting everyone over we are going to not do it this year. Last years party found me with no time to visit because I was so busy.

So this year doing something different. The first bigger gathering is this Saturday. 12 people unless I invite at the last minute. Someone that can't come Saturday is coming Friday night for chili. So Christmas gatherings actually start Friday.

I am looking forward on Saturday to be able to sit, relax and visit since its such a small crowd. Menu's are simple for me. I enjoy my time in the kitchen and making healthier food. The menu is of course Tenderloin. I am going to make a venison tenderloin too. Then just simple things like coleslaw, angel eggs, cranberries, pineapple upside down cake. I am making a chocolate cake for Friday so there will be leftovers.

Second party was with a few neighbors with kids. I served pizza. It went well.

I am done with them though. My husband is always telling me its not my job to get the neighbors together. I am going to listen this time. Christmas is on Friday next year so three day weekend.

The house is decorated so pretty. I love the lights. This will be our 3rd Christmas in this home. Butch decided he didn't want to bother with putting up the outside lights. That's okay I put candles in the windows.

What about Christmas? I have seen many. Only 36 of them though where I have a personal relationship with Jesus. Jesus is the gift that never stops giving. I pray you know Him today. The bible says you can't get into heaven without Him.

I watched a movie called the Christmas jar today. It was a good movie. The true meaning of Christmas. Goggle it on you tube make yourself a bowl of popcorn and enjoy.

Butch and I are not close with our siblings. So our Christmas doesn't include them. That is so sad. But that is there choice not ours. I wish them all the best.

So lets not forget about why we truly have Christmas and open the best gift you will ever get and that's Jesus.

Blessings.......
