Thanksgiving in your heart

I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart. I will enter His courts with praise. I will say this is the day that the Lord has made I will rejoice for He has made me glad.

When you are a child of the King of King's it's quite easy to rejoice and be glad. Did you know that you are the king that Jesus is King of. Praise God!

When God sent Jesus to earth to die for us He thought of everything. I can never say it enough that God didn't leave anything out. He sent Jesus to die for our salvation, healing, prosperity, fear, lack and anything in this world that is evil Jesus died for.

The bible says in John 10:10 that the thief (devil) comes to kill to steal and to destroy but Jesus came that we might have life, and might have it abundantly. See the word might there. The choice is ours.

As Christians the bible says that the devil is under our feet. Sometimes though it is just the opposite. We let the devil rule. We should wake up every morning knowing our authority and walking in it. When we get up in the morning we need to rejoice so much that the devil says oh know she or he is up again. He needs to be afraid of us.

So what if your not a christian. Decide to be on. Repent for your sins and ask Jesus to live and rule your heart. You will never be the same.

My prayer for Christians everywhere is that we walk in the fullness of all God gave us.

Just Pray

A man was sleeping one night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with light, and God appeared. The Lord told the man he had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might.
So, this the man did, day after day. For many years he toiled from sunup to sundown, his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock, pushing with all his might!

Each night the man returned to his cabin sore and worn out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain. Since the man was showing discouragement, the Adversary (Satan) decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into the weary mind: (He will do it every time)!
You have been pushing against that rock for a long time and it hasn't moved." Thus, he gave the man the impression that the task was impossible and that he was a failure. These thoughts discouraged and disheartened the man.
Satan said, "Why kill yourself over this? Just put in your time, giving just the minimum effort; and that will be good enough."
That's what the weary man planned to do, but decided to make it a matter of prayer and to take his troubled thoughts to the Lord.
"Lord," he said, "I have labored long and hard in Your Service, putting all my strength to do that which you have asked. Yet, after all this time, I have not even budged that rock by half a millimeter. What is wrong? Why am I failing?"
The Lord responded compassionately, "My friend, when I asked you to serve Me and you accepted, I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all of your strength, which you have done.
Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push. And now you come to Me with your strength spent, thinking that you have failed.
But, is that really so? Look at yourself. Your arms are strong and muscled, your back shiny and brown; your hands are callused from constant pressure, your legs have become massive and hard.
Through opposition you have grown much, and your abilities now surpass that which you used to have. True, you haven't moved the rock. But your calling was to be obedient and to push and to exercise your faith and trust in My wisdom. That you have done. Now I, my friend, will move the rock."
At times, when we hear a word from God, we tend to use our own intellect to decipher what He wants, when actually what God wants is just simple obedience and faith in Him.
By all means, exercise the faith that moves mountains, but know that it is still God Who moves the mountains.

Clearence Sales

Christmas celebrations done for another year.  New Year resolutions made. Stores trying to get rid of  old inventory so lots of sales going on.

Last night my sister and I went to Shopko while our guys were watching football. I enjoy looking around even when I don't really need anything.

I found a foosball table top game as well as a air hocky game. Orginal price was $35.00. They were on sale for $7.50 each. What the heck I bought both of them.

We got back to the house and I told the guys what I had bought. My husband insisted that I was just telling him a story. After a while I went out to the truck and brought them in.

Now the fun part. We opened the foosball box and you guessed it, it was unassembled. My sister just grabbed the instructions and started to assemble it. She got so far with it and her husband stepped into help. I had to tell my husband to get over there and help them.

It was so funny I took  pictures of the three of them working on putting this foosball table together. I never laughed so hard.

When it was all together we played a few games. It was quite fun. Not a bad investment on my part.

God gave us all gifts. Putting things together with instructions isn't one of my gifts. My husband is good at reading instructions and then putting things together but it isn't one of his favorite things to do.

Watching my sister and her husband working together as a team told me that it was a gift they both have. The patience they showed was amazing.

Like I said I never laughed so hard and my sister was laughing also. The bible says that laughter works good like medicine.

When was the last time you laughed so hard you cried. That's what I thought. You can't remember can you? Want some good medicine? Go and find the funniest movie you have or rent one and just let go. Laughter is so good for you.

Also don't be so hard on yourself when you are trying to do something and your not enjoying it. Just know that it isn't one of the gifts God gave you. Whatever you are good at and enjoy doing that is your gift.

Remember that Christmas is only over for you if you don't have Jesus in your heart. When Jesus is in your heart you will have Christmas everyday.

Winter

The second day of the New Year. It is very cold here. There isn't much snow left though because we had a warm spell right before this cold snap. I was telling my husband this morning that winter is almost over. He of course said what do you mean? I told him it is Jan. now with Feb. to follow. We really only have a couple of months of winter left. Normally by March things are looking alot better and warmer and any snow you get in March is gone in April.

The bible says to everything there is a season and a time to every purpose. Winter is a pretty time of the year with all the snow. I don't dislike winter but I could do without the cold. I am blessed to be at home alot since my business can be done on the phone.

I learned many years ago to be more positive about everything. I always try to look at things the same way I am looking at winter being over.

In this life there is always going to be the things we want to do as well as the things we don't want to do. The people we want to get together with as well as the ones we would like to stay away from. The jobs we like and the jobs we dislike. Be encourged to look at everything more positive. When you do it will make everything easier. Look for the end resuslt.

I encourage everybody to make 2011 the year that changes your life for the better. Look at things different. Have a better attitude. Reach out to others. Know that God loves you and wants to bless you.

Christmas Eve

All is calm, all is bright. Jesus is born. As the song continues and says sleep in heavenly peace He is not sleeping in Heavenly peace.

The bible says that Jesus is at the right hand of the Father daily making intercession for us. The babe in the manger prays on our behalf. How cool is that.

As I am writing this it is the eve of Christmas. Don't let  Christmas end for you. With Jesus in your heart you will have Christmas everyday.

I pray everybody everywhere has the best Christmas ever.

Two weeks till Christmas

What does Christmas mean to you? I pray that to you it means Jesus born in a stable.

Some look at Christmas as the busiest time of the year. All the baking, shopping and decorating. All that is good as long as Jesus is remembered.

Some look at Christmas and want to change it from Christmas to Holiday.

Some look at Christmas as what God meant it to be.

John 3:16  For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son to us.

I have my tree up and the house decorated I even just had my Christmas party as I have for four years now. I know what Christmas means to me. I don't do much shopping but I love to go to the stores and walk around and listen to the music. Actually I sing along.

It is overwhelming to think of how much God love us but let me tell you that if you were the only person on this earth God would of still sent Jesus. That is how much He loves you.

My girls are grown and sometimes we aren't all together on Christmas. My husband and I are talking about taking in a movie. There might be somebody there I can witness to or just have a kind word for them.

So do you know Jesus as your Saviour? If you don't it is quite simple. Just talk to Him. Say a prayer something like this:

Father,  I thank you for sending Jesus for me. Forgive all my sins. Jesus come into my heart and be my Saviour.  Amen.

How hard was that? You probably said a prayer like that back in your younger day when your parents forced you to go to religion classes. The difference is that back then you said it because you were told to say it. Now you said it because you wanted to.

I pray you all have the best blessed Christmas ever!

LUCK

I am sure it has happen to you at some time when something good has happen to you somebody says to you that it was luck.

If you are a christian let me tell you what I heard today. I heard somebody today name the letters for the word luck and it is so good.

L - laboring
U - under
C - correct
K - knowledge

In God we don't have luck. As I have said before we have favor. Also since when we do things we are doing them or laboring for God with His knowledge since our steps are ordered by the Lord. So that makes alot of sense to me. Laboring under correct (God's) knowledge. The bible also says we have the mind of Christ.

Changing Times

October 15th and our weather is still warmer. The 2026 elections right around the corner. God says there will be a red wave. We win.  Willa...
